Sinners Pilgrimage

Something of a continuation to my other landscapes but with a twist. I tried to make this one a bit more thought out and creepy as opposed to my other landscapes wich were too simple for my taste .

The idea of this image is that long ago, a meteor containing an alien rock-form dropped down on this unsuspecting planet and started to multiply by snatching ,eating ,and taking the form of unsuspecting travelers . After it grew in size and popularity , the native people used this place to throw all their criminals , rapists ,thieves and generally unpleasant folks , as a way for them to repent of their sinns . Those who made it to the other side were supposedly forgiven by the gods and had another chance at living a normal life with a clean soul.
